Finland is one of the safest countries for LGBT visitors, we have the same-sex marriage law and the society in general is emphasizing equality everywhere. But how did we get to this situation? The gay sexual acts were discriminated yet until 1971 and homosexuality also was in the disease classification later than that. Where and how did the gay people meet each others during those years, or what was the impact of the war for the gay life in Helsinki?

This 1- hour tour will take you into the developing society from the early 1900's until the recent day to follow the places and stories of rainbow minority of Helsinki. On our open air TukTuks you can enjoy the Helsinki summer, fun drive and lots of new information! Own beverages and snacks are allowed - welcome to have a great time with our team!

We start the tour from Runberginkatu 5 (just in front of Kahvila Charlotta)
